Katie is a sweet 15 year old girl, who was dumped at Memphis Animal Services. Her owner was elderly and passed away. The owner's family did not want to take care of Katie, so they left her at MAS. Poor Katie was with her owner her whole life and then left alone at MAS, who immediately put her on the euthanasia list. A wonderful animal advocate volunteered to foster Katie and The Rescued Pack agreed to adopt Katie to a good home. Since we had a foster and rescue both willing to help, we couldn't refuse helping Katie with her medical treatment. Germantown Parkway Animal Hospital quickly gave her a thorough exam. Katie is needs dental work done and a growth removed from her hind leg. GPAH's Hunter had to give her a good bath and haircut. She looks like a totally different dog! Hunter even put a cute Halloween costume on her. Katie is so sweet and gentle. She is so much happier to be out of the shelter. Katie will make a great family member. Once she gets through with her surgery and recovery, she will be ready for her furever home.
