One of our animal advocates found this sweet dog abandoned on the street with her food bowl and toys. Our advocate took her in and The Savior Foundation committed to helping her with medical treatment. We named her Buttercup!!!
We took Buttercup to Germantown Parkway Animal Hospital for a thorough exam. Unfortunately, she has a few health obstacles to overcome. Buttercup has tape worms, whip worms, and heart worms. She started her meds to kill the worms. She should be ready to be spayed in the next 3-4 weeks. We also found out Buttercup is deaf, but that does stop her from snuggling up with people she meets. She knows how to sit and walks well on a leash!
Buttercup is about 1 1/2 years old and only about 35 pounds. She will need several months to go through heart worm treatment before she can be adopted. Buttercup needs a foster for the next few months and then needs a furever home. We will even provide training classes for her and her foster/adopter to learn how to communicate with each other.
Buttercup is so sweet and loving! Everyone who meets her falls in love her! We certainly love her!
We appreciate all donations to help cover Buttercup's medical treatment!
